River parted her mouth to show her longer wolf fangs, her ears pinned, her tail flicking. She stepped out, closing the door behind her. "Get off my porch, Mapleshade. Now. Wolfram is under my roof, and I will protect those under my roof. And if you come into my house... Well, I'm sure you would hate the cops. Get."

"Same with my mother." Lachlan said. He noticed Finlay came up beside them. "Uh..."
"You're finally down here."
"Explain please?"
"After the show." Lachlan joked, nodding to River, Mapleshade, and Taylor through the door window.
Mapleshade hissed, now trapped between the two women. Her tail lashing wildly as she looked side to side."Give me the boy, and I'll leave!"

~

"Chill, Maple."Taylor snorted, standing on the first step of the porch."Leave these people in peace, Mapleshade. Or, I can, you know, call the cops." A grind passed over her face, her eyes glittering dangerously, her phone in one hand already.

Mapleshade snarled, pushing past Taylor, and fleeing down the street, and dissapering before she could be caught.

"Thought so." River spat after Mapleshade's fleeing from. Her eyes sliding over to Taylor. "Don't tell me you are after the boy too." She said dryly.

Lachlan elbowed Wolfram. "See? My mom and whoever that is chased her off."

"Ow, Lachlan!"Wolfram winced."I have a bruise there, remember!" But he had a teasing glint in his eyes.

Taylor raised her hands, shaking her head."Nope. Just here to scare her off. I've had trouble with her in the past. She likes to pick quarrels with people. Keep a eye on your kid, or whoever he is, she'll be back. When she wants something, she gets it, even if that means her taking it by force."

River relaxed, noding. "Son's friend. Takes it by force, eh? I'd love to see her try." She said, a ruthless snarl in her voice at the last part.

Lachlan huffed a snicker. "Sorry, Wolf." He said, watching as his brother stuck his hand out to Wolfram. "I'm Finlay, Lachlan's brother." His brother muttered. "Well, Finlay, you took forever to do that homework." Lachlan said light heartedly.

"Be careful. She is stronger then she looks."Taylor murmured, turning and crossing the street.

"Wolfram."Wolfram nodded to Finlay. He picked up his backpack."I need to take a shower. Can you uh, show me where it is?"He asked Lachlan.

River turned, walking back inside.

Lachlan waited for Finlay to finish as he had turned back to him. "I'm going to do more of those essays, try not to get in another fight." He said, shaking his head, faking disappointment as he walked away.
Lachlan rolled his eyes, turning to Wolfram. "Sure, this way." He walked up the stairs, pointing to the first door in a hall that the stairs led into. "That's the bathroom."

"Thanks, Lachlan."Wolfram smiled, going into the bathroom. He shut the door, setting his bag down. He turned the shower on, getting in once he was undressed. The warm water hit his back, the tension fading away. But he then froze, blood dripping into the floor of the shower. His arm was bleeding, it looked at if he had been cut by a knife."How the-?"He hadent, had he? Or when he hit his head did he forget? It didn't matter, it certaintly wasn't anything to worry about, right? He argued with his mind as he stepped out of the shower, wrapping himself in a dry towel. After he got dressed he walked down the stairs, the wound bugging him. How had he gotten it?

Maryella huffed. "Didn't even say hello, the old cheek." She said as Sandy sashayed back to the tub and leapt up onto the glass wall, seemingly unphased by the water. She lifted an arm up to rub the cat's head. As the cat embraced her hand, the water droplets rolled off her fur like it would off a duck's back. "Anyway, I've been thinking. I have a few old newspapers and magazine clippings stuffed in a... an old... what do you call those things? Folders." Upon further aggravating by the cat, Maryella relinquished another fish-flavored treat from the tin. "The folder has all kinds information in it from before the Pure had a name. It might place some names and figure out who to ask."

That would actually be very useful. Alice stepped out of the corner and walked closer to the tub, she pulled the chain she wore around her neck pulling in to the outside of her sweater. A faintly glowing blue crystal dangled from it, set in a crafted pendant. "This crystal can heal people, bring them back from deaths door. Would this pay for the information you have?" Her mom WAS going to kill her.

Brisa stepped closer to the to the counter, coming up next to Alice, and glanced down at the crystal she was holding. That seems pretty important to be trading away. She thought. What do I have instead? Searching her mind, she stuck her hands in her dress pockets and came out with a delicate silver bracelet that had small black stones set into it. She had had it for almost as long as she could remember, ever since she had begged her mom to get it for her, but she could part with it for something this important. "Or there's this." She said, holding it up. "It shrinks or grows according to the wrist of the wearer and can protect against mind-reader's abilities."

Maryella put her face close to her kitties nose an adoring look in her eyes as she scratched his chin. Both trinkets were worth far more than what she had, but she wasn't about to tell them that.
"Hmm, i wonder what you would even do with that information any way. I mean what can a couple of kids do to a movement like that." She gave Sandy one more treat and closed the container. She pulled herself around and put out her hand.

"No problem." Lach said, walking down stairs.

Lachlan had been in a quiet conversation with his mother, then turned to Wolfram as he came down stairs. "How's that head wound, Wolfram?"

"Uh, fine. It doesn't hurt that bad."Wolfram replied quietly. But he Wasnt concerned about the head wound, it Didnt hurt much. Alice's powers really helped. Peterson ran up to Wolfram, wagging his tail. He smiled, petting the beagle gently.
