«We Could Be Legends»

Wolfram tensed when her hands collided with his back. He flinched, pulling away."Don't touch me!"He snarled, But guilt replaced the look of anger quickly."Maybe I'm just asking because I'm worried. Is there something wrong with that?"His face went emotionless, Exept for pain. He turned away from her, leaning slightly on Lachlan, slowly putting one foot in front of the other.

Lachlan winced as she mentioned his wounds. "We haven't been freaking out over you, I merely have been asking if you were okay, when you had a knife at your throat. Him too, except he has said it a couple times more because he didn't hear you and is worried."
Everything's wrong with that. I don't need people caring. "Yeah, it's kind of weird when yesterday I wanted to punch your face blue." She took a few of the steps backward, wanting to make sure this sunk into Wolfram's addled brain....and just maybe she'd get them all out of here faster if she hurried ahead. Her irksome limp tried to slow her, but Bleddyn was in no mind to bow to it. "Can't say I still don't want to, though."

"Just, shut up!"Wolfram snarled suddenly, glaring at her."You're making my head hurt worse then it already does, so shut up!"He turned away from her, guilt already worming into his chest. Now I feel really bad....Why did I yell at her? I'm such a jerk... It took way more energy out of him to yell then normal.... While he was drowning in his thoughts, he tripped over his own foot, falling onto his knees, his elbows hitting the ground to stop his head from slamming into the ground.

"We-we can't go yet. We can't leave them. They'll die." Toby mumbled, along with more words that they couldn't understand. His vision was going black. I can't… pass out. Everything hurts, make it stop. He slowly started sliding down the wall. He grabbed the wall and used it to push himself up.

Toby shook his head. "I… can walk… I think." He choked out.
"Nope, you can't," Indigo said. She pulled his arm violently. "You have a bullet wound and I'm getting you out."

"No, they won't Toby. They will be right behind us, and okay." Lachlan said firmly.

"Nope, you can't," Indigo said. She pulled his arm violently. "You have a bullet wound I'm getting you out.

Toby looked at Lachlan, uncertainty in his eyes. He stumbled forward when Indigo tugged on his arm, and followed her down the hall. He had one hand on Alpha, keeping him from falling over.

Jessi frowned. "That's weird, he never calls me. Can you call him for me? You can put it on speaker." Jessi asked.
Camilla nodded. "Yeah, sure." She flicked over to numbers, bringing him up and pressing call, quickly turning on speaker. "There."
"Thanks." Jessi said. "Hey, Charlie, what's going on?"
"Hi Jessi, is Toby with you? I've been trying to call him for the past hour. Where are you?" Charlie asked.
"I'm hanging out with some friends. No, Toby isn't with me. Last time I checked he was meeting up with some of dad's old friends."
"Okay, I'm just worried. He always answers his phone. If he calls you, let me know, okay?"
"Okay, talk to you later." Charlie hung up. Jessi glanced at Camilla. "That was weird." Jessi said. "It looks like we're here. I need to find a place to park. Keep an eye out for empty parking places, please."

"Nope. Probably wouldn't get far, seeing as I can't drive." Grace said, "When you were 14? Wow. I'm 14 and I don't even know how to use the windshield wipers." There was slight admiration in her voice.

"Oh. Well, hi." Peter said. He drummed his fingers on his legs and then stuck his hands into his hoodie pocket. He considered his chances of getting injured if he teleported out of the van to escape this horribly uncomfortable conversation.
"I think I've seen you before at school. You're in the fourteen year old classes, right?" Camilla said.
"You.. you mean freshmen? Yeah. I mean, I am." Peter said quickly. He probably had seen her at some point, but as far as he knew she wasn't in one of his classes.

"Yeah. My parents- Peter?" Grace twisted around to stare at him.
"What?" Peter looked up. "I'm.. I'm fine." He felt his face flush with embarrassment. Did she really have to point that out?
Jessi glanced at Peter. "You sure? You look a little ill."
"Yeah. Hm, thought so. I am too. You're Sammy and Crow's kid?" Camilla said, then looked awkward. "Sorry, I'm talking your ear off."
Jessi felt her phone buzz. She pulled it out of her pocket and handed it to Camilla. "Hey, you mind seeing who this is? Someone keeps texting and calling me, I want to make sure it's not important." She asked. There was three unread messages, and two missed phone calls, all from Charlie. The messages read:
Is Toby with you? He's not answering my calls.

Jessi? Are you guys okay? Do you need me to call your mom?

Jessi, please answer your phone. I'm worried.
Camilla took it, and gave a nod. She swiped the messages open. "Sure... There's two missed calls from a dude named Charlie, and all three texts are from him too. They say: 'Is Toby with you? He's not answering my calls. Jessi? Are you guys okay? Do you need me to call your mom? Jessi, please answer your phone, I'm worried.'"
Brisa, who had looked out the window to see if she recognized their location, glanced back at Jessi. "I hope Toby's okay." She said, a slight feeling of worry settling in her stomach.

Toby looked at Lachlan, uncertainty in his eyes. He stumbled forward when Indigo tugged on his arm, and followed her down the hall. He had one hand on Alpha, keeping him from falling over.
Indigo dragged him into the subway tunnel, sparing no time for secrecy now. Her footsteps were quick and she didn't slow for his stumbling.

Lachlan opened his mouth to utter something about watching it, but snapped it closed as Wolfram fell. He held his hand out to him. "You okay?" He asked kindly.

Indigo dragged him into the subway tunnel, sparing no time for secrecy now. Her footsteps were quick and she didn't slow for his stumbling.

Toby stumbled after her, almost falling over multiple times. He wanted to tell her to slow down a little, but he didn't think it was smart, and he doubted she would listen. Alpha ran along side them, bracing each time Toby would almost fall so he could use him for balance.

Brisa, who had looked out the window to see if she recognized their location, glanced back at Jessi. "I hope Toby's okay." She said, a slight feeling of worry settling in her stomach.

Jessi nodded. "I hope so too. Oh, found a parking spot!" Jessi said, and parked.

"Thanks." Jessi said. "Hey, Charlie, what's going on?"
"Hi Jessi, is Toby with you? I've been trying to call him for the past hour. Where are you?" Charlie asked.

Camilla peered out the window, glancing over the area. The building was tiny, brick, and had dark windows. A large sign on the building, with white, fancy letters said 'Locksmith and Smith'. As they passed the doors by she saw a sign saying the hours-- Eight to five.
There were multiple trees on the property around the building, they were dead looking, having no leaves, the street was empty too, and almost no cars garnished the parking lot. Along with this the rain added to the spooky sense, and Camilla shivered-- partly from the cold crisp air. "Your not gonna have a problem with that. There's no one here! But, would you get a parking space near the doors? I'm not hoping to walk in the rain and cold."
