«We Could Be Legends»

River smirked, eyes flinging from one place to another. "No, there isn't. And I'm pretty sure this counts as a 'we need' moment. Besides, life doesn't work like that." She mumbled, glancing at Wolfram. "When we find the crystals, we can probably fix you up." She uttered coolly.
Quiet footsteps tapped across the cool stone, nearly inaudible. The tortoiseshell cat walked to the edge of a boulder beneath the waterfall.
Memories flooded her head, of her life before the destruction of the cavern. The cat slowly transformed into an aging woman, weeping at all she had lost to the Pure. And of what else would be lost again to them.
She had left to escape the memories, but opportunity, and history, repeats itself.
Emily.

"Okay, because in a lot of… video games… and…" Toby's sentence trailed off. I'm just gonna stop right there before they think I'm a nerd. He thought. He looked around, noticing a figure behind the waterfall. "Um… mrs. Loson?" He said, tapping her arm. He pointed towards the waterfall.

Wolfram gave a tense laugh, glancing at River. "Fix me? Unless these crystals can heal years of emotional damage I doubt they can fix me. Maybe my physical wounds, but-" He drew off shaking his head. "Lets just find them and get out of here, who knows if Mapleshade or Michael is lurking down here." I refuse to call him my father. I refuse to accept I share the blood of some horrid monster.
But deep down I still know....
I know I am that horrid monster, just like my father. It's just waiting until it breaks me down far enough.

River rolled her eyes at Wolfram. "I meant your physical wounds--" At that moment Toby tapped her, and her eyes followed his hand to the form, who's figure was obscured by the waterfall. "Wolfram, Toby, Taylor, Alice, stay here." She growled, a deathly tone to her voice that could send chills done every bone in someone's body.
She gripped her gun, pulling it from it's holster as she crept forward, her hands holding the pistol with blue ribbon form, her body lowered to the ground ever-so slightly.
She slid behind some rocks, before coming out, pushing the gun against the back of Emily's head. "Who are you, and why are you down here?" She snarled, her voice silky, but dripping with poison. She was yet to recognize who it was.

Jessi looked back to Yris. "Meet us after school. We can tell you what happened then. That is, if you want to know." She said.

Toby stared out the window, watching everything speed past. He wanted to turn on the radio to help drown out their bickering, but he wouldn't be able to reach it, and Wolfram looked like he would be mad at more distractions. He shot a glare at Taylor, one that clearly said 'shut up'.
(dry if this is too late, I'll try to be on more) Yris nodded, looking at Brisa, whom she had known longer and could formally say she was friends with, somewhat worriedly. She masked it rather promptly as she realized three girl whispering was going to cause quite the scene, so she simply kept to herself for the rest of the class time.

Toby pulled the knife out of his pocket and held it tightly. He glanced at the others with a worried expression as River crept behind the waterfall. He hadn't seen the person move, and he was worried it was just going to be a skeleton, but it was better safe than sorry.

"River Im a adult you can't-" Wolfram drew off as he realized what River saw. Ignoring River's previous warning, he slunk through the shadows. Silent. Unnoticed. Hidden. With knife in hand, he came around the boulders to the front of the woman. "Do not move, we have you-" He broke off, his eyes adjusting to the dull light, enough to make out who it was. "River! It's...I don't know her name. It's....Sherri's mom."

Toby rolled his eyes. "Idiot." He said under his breath. He considered following him, but he didn't want River to be mad at him, since she got very scary when she was mad, and could probably do a lot of damage. He looked at Alice and Taylor, adjusting his grip on the knife.

"I heard that!" Wolfram snarled. "You forget I'm a Neko, I can hear things you wouldn't imagine. I can hear a mouse right now, it's in the far corner over there, it's searching for food. I just heard a child laughing across the street, even though I'm underground. I can still hear it."

"Well now you know you're being an idiot." Toby growled at him. "Mrs. Loson said to stay here."

River blinked, the madness shrinking from her eyes. "What the-- Emily? Good lord, I almost shot you. You gotta stop doing this, man." She growled, putting away her gun. She glared at Wolfram. "I told you to stay with the others, Wolfram, lord knows only you and Toby have more or less the ability to protect themselves." She spat annoyedly, looking back to Emily.
