«We Could Be Legends»

Misty looked over her shoulder at River
"Why the hell are we so similar?" she asked while smiling then she pulled River over with her tail and hugged all three of them
River blinked as Misty pulled her into a group hug. Oh, please, no. She grimaced. "I don't know, why are we, copy-cat?" She asked, struggling to pull away. "And let go of me! Argh, I can't breathe, woman!"

"I aint no copy cat, you came from this dimension and I came from another. We're our own different people." Just to annoy her Misty squeezed her tighter

Toby's breathing quickened. Can't move. Please let me go. Memories of being held down flashed through his head. "L-l-let g-go." He choked out, his voice barely audible.

Misty tightened her hug then let all of them go, her smile faded into a serious expression,
"we should get out of here" she murmured

River snorted. "Mhm, whatever, be right." She said, pulling her head back to look down on Misty. "But really, let me go, like, right now."

River stumbled back, momentarily realizing she had-- Oddly enough, very much liked that hug. "Yeah, let's get out of here. I have enough crystals." She said hurriedly, patting her pockets, knife still in hand, before wiping her bleeding hand on her shirt, smearing even more blood on it's blood stained cloth that had once been purely dark grey.

Toby stumbled backwards, shaking uncontrollably. "Y-ye-yeah, l-let's g-go." He said, walking away. His legs felt like jello, making it hard for him to walk. He stumbled over the rubble, tripping repeatedly.

Misty put a hand on his head and pushed his head into her shoulder, holding him up as he cried on her
"Misty, let me go right now." River snarled, her hands twitching.

(Is this post a little much?)
River broke from Misty's grip, stalking towards him. "Oh, you don't know what killing means. In those tunnels, you killed to live." She gave a chilling smirk. "I've killed just for killing's sake." She snarled, face contorting into an odd look. "Then stop acting like it! You know what I'm going through?" She asked, cocking her head. "Every night I see the same thing, I see those men break into my house, grab my mother's hair and force her to watch as they put a bullet in my father's head, make me watch as the life drained from him." She glanced away for a second, before looking back to him. "Then they force me to watch her die, and then they take my little brother. And they leave my in the dust and my parent's blood with nothing but this very knife. I still feel the blood sticking to my skin as I rocked their cold bodies." She said manically, her eyes misted. "Then I see my first kill. I was fourteen and on the run, and one things leads to another and I get in a fight. I shot a boy with his own gun, with the very gun on my hip now, and I liked it." She paused, fearful of her words. "I remember seeing my few and far apart friends betray me. I remember going to a new friend's funeral. I remember my friend's wings melting off him. And you know what my newest memory is? Standing in those tunnels and wondering if my son would die. And now I'm left to wonder how my little brother died, all alone." She yelped, before backing up, eyes going wide as she realized everything she had just said.
Her hand flew to her head, and she stopped moving. "I'm sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I shouldn't have said any of that. Please... I..." She glanced around, fumbling with her hands. "Just, forget I just said all that."

River began backing away, trying to seem invisible.

Wolfram jerked away from the hug, away from Misty, away from River. Nothing could take back what he had just heard, the images that where conjured inside his head. It was horrid, more horrid then watching Sage drown, even when she was on land. More horrid then seeing Zion rip Mapleshade's face apart, more horrid then him cutting his own skin and watching with satisfaction as blood ran down his arms. He whirled around on his heels, sprinting at a break-neck speed up the path way, his feet slipping on the rock. He ran across the battle scene and through the brambles thorns until he was in the front seat of his car, heart racing and tears still pouring in gallons down his face.

River stared after him dully, her body twitching at random moments. She couldn't talk, she couldn't call after him. It was like her body didn't want to do a single thing she ordered it to do.
Finally she forced her head to look over at Misty. "Why am I like this?" She asked in a croak, her head cocked as she reached up, her hand tracing the scar on her face. "You kn- know what? Forget that, let's go." She said, marching down the street and then up the ramp.
As she reached the battle field, she paused, her eyes sliding over the skeletons. Even here I see my destruction, oh, why can't I just go blind or something?
As she finally reached Wolfram's car, she paused, her hand extended towards the handle of the front passenger seat, but she couldn't find it in herself to get in and face Wolfram.

Wolfram didn't give her even one glance, his head buried in his hands, elbows leaning against the steering wheel. "Coward." He whispered hoarsely to her. "Can't even face me after spewing all that crap out, can you?"
