«We Could Be Legends»

Wolfram didn't give her even one glance, his head buried in his hands, elbows leaning against the steering wheel. "Coward." He whispered hoarsely to her. "Can't even face me after spewing all that crap out, can you?"
River finally got in, just catching his words. "Shut up. I thought you didn't like words?" She muttered, sitting ridgedly in the passenger seat. "Just leave me alone, Wolfram. I'm sorry for saying all that, but that doesn't matter. Just forget everything."

Wolfram swore under his breath, before slowly straighting up. "Fine, whatever. Maybe I shouldn't have been so harsh with what I said..." He glanced at her, his voice raspy. "Maybe I shouldn't have judged your choices without knowing what options you had to chose from. But still? What you said back there was dark crap. Especially to put in depressed persons thoughts. I'm suicidal enough already, I don't need to know how many more screwed up people there are in this world." He stopped abruptly, eyes flashing with a hint of fear. He had never flat out said to anyone, other then his mother, that he felt like that.

River sank back, her hands twitching as she brought one to her head, rubbing her forehead feverishly. "I'm sorry. I didn't need to say any of that, I just..." She tipped her head down, burying her chin into her chest. "Can't stand it, letting someone walk all over me and say that to me and Misty. When you pulled that knife--" Her face twitched, letting him know that some emotion was stirring deep down in her. "--I really freaked out. I lost it, I shouldn't have, but it all came back and I lost it." She blinked, doing everything she could to not look at him. "I guess I really am crazy, eh?"

Emily jumped.
"Y-you can talk?" She stammered. "I've heard of Inhumans, but in-chickens?"
Frosty rolled his eyes. "You didn't hear me speak back there? I was right in front of you, ya know." He started pacing back and forth, seemingly annoyed. "Really, it seems as if no one heard me. They completely ignored me! Just because I'm a..." His voice broke, then he continued casually as if nothing had happened. "Nah, I'm not a super chicken. Much less interesting." He regarded her for a second, then little rooster started to trot towards the cave entrance.

"We're all crazy, River, in some way or another." He muttered. "I freaked when I pulled the knife to. I wanted to....to....hurt....someone. Myself....anyone.....I lost it as much as you did....no matter what I did back there...I'm glad you took the knife from me....I would have hurt Misty or you or myself...."

Emily just followed, a very confused look on her face.

"You have no clue how much I wanted to bash your head at times." River reached into her pockets, taking out a crystal. "I grabbed one for your arm, use it. Now. I want your arm stitched up, crack it over your wound and make sure to knock them off until it's completely fixed. If it's scar worthy, it will leave a scar, but that's all." She said, flinging it at him.

Wolfram snatched it out of the air, and instantly just shoved it in his pocket. "Thanks but no thanks. It's not that bad, really. It doesn't hurt at all, it's not even that deep. I'll be fine."

River glared at him, chewing her lip nervously. "Use it, I don't need to be worrying about you bleeding out and the kiddos." She growled. "We have enough crystals, you using one won't hurt. I'm going to make Lachlan use one when I get my hands on his butt too, and the rest of the hurt kids, you're not excluded, Wolfram." She muttered, rubbing her left cheek's scar.

Just then, Frosty hopped up into the truck. "I wouldn't use those," he said, staring at the wolf-shifter in annoyance. "If you'd stayed to hear what I had to say, you would've learned that the real stuff was stolen long ago." He paused to measure the reaction on River's face. "Probably sold on the black market or something."
