Virio met her gaze, giving her a nod of affirmation that somehow, everything would be ok, even though he didn't know himself if that was true. He could turn invisible and teleport, away from the spray of bullets, as well as kill in a second, but the others...some of them, most of them were unable to get away that quickly. He didn't know the range of their capabilities. Some irksome feeling bored deep into his gut, entertaining the bleak idea that there would be losses. While he didn't directly wish to acknowledge it, he played a large role in their safety now, with his powers. He eyed the nervousness apparent in Brisa's golden eyes, and nodded determinedly, ready for what was to come if anything at all. He had people to protect, and she was one of them.Brisa turned, squinting her X-ray vision at the car. “Well, that’s not good.” She muttered, summoning her hoverboard and stepping on when it nudged against her angle. “Um, guys? Should we get in the van and speed away or- No, we can’t leave River’s group to show up to an empty park.” She cast a nervous look at Virio with her gold-flecked eyes before she began scanning the trees for any lone gun-wielding figures but thankfully came back empty.
