«We Could Be Legends»

Wolfram dully stared into the distance, a cold chill creeping through him. The cold November wind whipped through the park ruthlessly, chilling everything in its wake to the bone.
He knew he should have gotten up right then and there, figured out what to do. But he felt utterly drained, his legs just wanting to give out on him. Not only physically drained, emotionally. He was just realizing how poisonous Lily was. A poison he couldn't get out of his life. A poison that would haunt him for every day to come. Shuddering as another violent wind clawed at his cheeks, a burning sensation crawling through his face. He shifted his shoulders, trying to force himself into his sweatshirt even deeper. Sighing as he fail miserably to protect his face from the biting winds, he pulled the hood of his sweatshirt back over his face, hiding his face from the world even more. He found comfort in it though, it hid his sickeningly pale skin and bruises. And the scratches from Mapleshade. Mapleshade...
Another poisonous thing that had entered his life. What where they going to do with her?
He lifted his head ever so slightly to look at the battered group of people. How come I haven't yet stopped to think that I'm at least a little bit lucky?
I've lost so much, but I've also gained so much. These people. These amazing people. They aren't perfect, no...but no one is.

No, no! What am I thinking?! They're just as poisonous as Mapleshade and Lily and Michael! They're going to hurt you just as bad! I can never get close to any of them!
But Lachlan, and River, and Brisa, and Alice, and Ash, and....Bleddyn...
Oh yes, Bleddyn. The pathetic idiot you moon over. Get her out of your life to. She's just as useless and poisonous as the others!

Suddenly he felt so alone. He was surrounded, but at the same time so alone, and so weak, so broken and so vulnerable.
But then I'm alone! I have no one! Nothing!
But you have me.

He could almost see the malevolent grin of his mind. The dark side of his mind, the one that seemed to talk back to him. The dangerous and poisonous side of him.
What can you do for me? You are nothing. A no one.
Then so are you. If I'm nothing, no one, then you are no one as well. Because I am you. I am the monster that is you. I'm the monster that breaks you down time and time again. Because I can hurt you from inside. I know everything about you because I am you. I am the person you will become. Malevolent, violent, dangerous. I'm your inner demon.
Please get away. Please...please...please...please just let me live in peace for once....that's all I'm asking.
Oh but sweetheart, it isn't that easy. Don't you remember? Remember how I caught up to you once before? When you where in the bathroom, a knife hovering over the skin on your wrist. Remember that? Remember how I made you do it? Because I was you. You cannot run from me, child. I am you. You cannot run from your own mind. You cannot run from your demons.

He tried to breathe, but found he couldn't. His throat locked, cutting off his access to oxygen. Panic gripping his chest, and he could no longer decipher what was his mind and what was reality.
He drew in a weak breathe before his throat tightened once more, and choked out a single word, almost sobbing. "Please..."

"Woah, easy, I didn't mean to offend you. All I'm saying is that some of your coworkers might not have made it, and that's something you might not want to see." Toby said.
"I dunno, Frosty can handle a lot of things," Indigo admitted.
Toby shrugged, even though Indigo couldn't see him. "If he thinks he can handle seeing his dead coworkers, then that's totally fine. He's the one that's going to get mentally scarred, not me." He said, entering the building.
"I'm already mentally scarred. You think I was born a talking chicken?" Frosty replied, his voice grim. "And I guarantee, if you aren't going to get freaked out by this, then you're already as traumatized as you can be."

Toby was silent. He did think Frosty was born a talking chicken. That must've been terrible. The poor bird. "Stay close behind me. The Pure could still be here." He said to Frosty, turning the safety on his gun off.

Misty, armed with her signature sword Svelhjart, (yes it was svelmalar before but screw that) her signature sword from back on Elemains. Quite literally meaning, IceHeart, but it actually means ColdHearted. She tip-toed silently beside River, glancing back every so often at her kids who were in the middle of the group.

Zion was scared, shaking in his boots but he straightened out his shoulders and rose to his full height. This is it he thought

Delilah hid her incredible fear and walked beside her brother, carrying herself proudly. she wanted to be beside mom and the others but Mom wouldnt let her. Despite her protests

Sherri glared at the stealer of her stick.
