«We Could Be Legends»

"No, I mean, right now." Crow said, gesturing to the van. "Isn't something happening right now?"

“Oh, right,” Jessi said, feeling a bit stupid. “I don't know. Normally he’s at home and can get his meds adjusted, but that’s not really doable right now...” she trailed off, looking at the van and biting her lip.

"I could fly to your house and get them, but it might take a while. And I'd have to have my arm healed." Crow shot a look at his arm, as if this whole situation was its fault.

“If his apartment is anything like the rest of the city, there’s no way you’ll find anything. Besides, he has emergency medication in his backpack, I just don’t know if it’s the right dose.” Jessi said. She watched Crow, frowning. “You make it sound like you weren’t planning to have your arm healed. It’s broken, and must be extremely painful. If Alice is up for it, you need it healed.” She said sternly.

Alice knelt next to Peter, trying to decide exactly what she should do. She didn't have all that much experience healing people, and this was something completely new. She couldn't stop thinking that he must be horribly uncomfortable, laying on top of his bent knees like that. Concentrate. Concentrate. She scolded herself, He needs energy. Energy? She lifted her hand examining the grimy palm. How do my powers even work. It should make who ever is healed all bouncy and hyper. But so far today that's not happened. And I'm not feeling tired at all. Is it because I just woke up? The fairy? Did something happen when I healed Aunty Riv... Alice's eyes snapped up, focusing on something unseen in the real world. I healed her? When did that happen? No no no. She closed her eyes shaking her head in frustration. Just concentrate on Peter. How are you going to heal him?

Alice placed her raised hand on the top of Peters head, she doubted he'd mind her getting his hair dirty. It was already coated in soot, what would a little blood matter?

"Alright, let's see if this works." She muttered, hoping at least something would happen.

Jessi looked around. The only people currently in earshot were Indigo and Crow. They’re both mature enough to act professionally if they hear. Or at least I hope they are.
Jessi nodded slightly. “Close, but not quite. Toby suffers from schizoaffective. It’s schizophrenia and a mood disorder, in his case bipolar.” She paused, listening to River speak. “That depends. When he’s on medication and stays away from triggers he can go months without any kind of episode. But it’s difficult, because sometimes there’s no obvious triggers.” She looked at the car absentmindedly. “I would really appreciate it if you would try to keep this between us. It’s not something Toby likes people knowing.”
(My brains dead, sorry XD)
River nodded. "I understand. I'll make sure to keep it between us."

(Don’t be sorry. ;3 )
Jessi looked at River, momentarily distracted from Crow’s broken arm. “Thank you River, I really appreciate that.” she said with a small smile. She turned to look back at Crow. “Okay, you need to get that fixed, and I need to make sure my brother isn’t dead.” Jessi said, gesturing towards Crow’s arm. She turned around and moved towards the car. She stopped briefly, looking at Indigo, who was standing right outside the car. Is she guarding the door or something...? She pushed the thought aside and looked in the window. She couldn’t see Toby, let alone if he was breathing or not, but Alpha looked happily snuggle up on something. He must be alive if Alpha is acting that calm. Or at least I hope so.

With each stride the fur on his paws became stickier and stickier, red liquid that held a heavy stench of sweet metallic, iron-like, of the fallen matting the fur on his paws and legs.
Wolfram finally slowed to a walk, his dark pelt unseen in the darkness of the shadows. His ears flattened to his skull as a horrified scream split the air, floating over the sounds of frantic yelling and even gunshots for a brief moment. He let his gaze drift over the infinite battle-field, his heart sinking at the sight.
Pure and Inhuman bodies lay scattered everywhere he looked, some completely undeniable and other shockingly familiar, even if it was just someone that he knew from passing-by. He felt cold, the fur on his spine rising as a shiver passed through him, and he continued on his search silently.
After many minutes of searching, he found whom he was looking for, standing amidst the smoke and battle. He paused, watching, bemused, as she drew back her arm and launched her gun as far as the could, most likely leaving it to clatter to the ground, or hopefully hit some unfortunate Pure member in the head.
He drew in a sharp breath, that was mainly smoke and little air, his shock cut off momentarily as coughs racked his body. When he recovered, he padded up to her, hissing and snarling defiantly at her actions, until he was aware that she could not understand anything that he was saying. He quickly shifted back into his human form, pulling himself to his feet. "What are you doing, Bleddyn?!"

Jessi took a few steps away from Toby. She knew he was already scared, and potentially waking up to someone hovering over him would only make matters worse.
She remained close enough to still see his small figure, and unconsciously tugged on her sleeve nervously. The itchy fabric from the Pure’s shirt was making her hot and sweaty, not to mention extremely claustrophobic. With one quick tug, the sleeves were no longer attached to the rest of the shirt, and the bottom of her pants quickly followed suit. She instantly felt like she could breathe again, but that feeling was replaced by a knot in her stomach.
Jessi looked around, frowning. “Are we missing people?” She asked, doing a mental headcount. Wolfram is with Bleddyn, Alice is with Peter and Grace. Brisa, Camilla, Finlay, and Lachlan are together somewhere, Toby and Alpha are in Indigo’s van with her outside of it. I was just talking to aunt River and uncle Crow. She paused. “Where’s Sherri? And mom?” Her worried purple eyes scanned the tired and hurt faces of everyone surrounding her.

Taylor glanced over the others, watching their faces turn downwards and them shuffle awkwardly when Jessi asked that question.
She ran a hand over her face, before looking up at Jessi almost guiltily. "Jessi," she said quietly, taking a hesitaint step towards the older girl. "They... Sherri and Jenna, they didn't... They didn't make it. I'm so sorry.... I- There was nothing we could have done. I'm sorry."

Jessi shook her head. “N-no, that’s not possible. Mom’s alive. She has to be. She’s just... off helping people,” she looked around, fighting back tears as she knew Taylor was right.
She squeezed her eyes shut, taking a deep breath. When she opened her eyes again, her face lacked all sadness, an ability she learned from Rex. Nows not the time cry. She scolded herself. She looked down at Taylor. “Anyone else? I know Connor, and now mom and Sherri. Did we lose anyone else?”
