Very good, thanks! Took some chicken photos, sat with Magnum, did some cleaning, reading and birding... How have you been? :D

That's great! Your birds are so pretty. :3
I've been meh. :P

Ahhh.
What happened tonight: we had to put down poor Dominique bantam Don cause he kept getting sick and we don't want to get everybody else sick. He looked so sick I don't feel sad about it though.
We separated two large fowl Buckeyes into a cage, and a trio of black d'Anvers in a cage. Crossing my fingers that the incubator will work! :fl:weeView attachment 1242533
Plus we put Vaseline on combs.

YOU HAS D'ANVERS!?!?!?!

Those are literally the second cutest chickens I saw at the she yesterday. *fangirls* :love (second only to this little NHR girl XD)

I’m just curious… how do you pick up chickens? I usuall grab them with thumbs over wings and hands on chest and legs hanging free and then If I’m holding them for longer I’ll tuck them under my arm or cradle them. So how do you do it?
I do the same thing. When I hold them I have one arm around them and the other hand under so that I can support their weight (in between their legs to they feel supported)

X2. I always end up supporting their weight under their keel bone, with an arm over top of them holding their wings down. It always pains me when people don't know how to hold them without the chicken freaking out. XD

Even my jerk of a top bird will chillax when I hold her. Guess she's too dignified to "defend" herself when I've got her pinned
