The babies are brats, especially if you get them from a hatchery. They tend to peck each other's eyes if you use a heat lamp. These guys seem to be doing well with Parakeet though.

GL and SL orps are from England. They have SO many more breeds/varieties across the pond... It just ain't right. ;-; XD

All of mine do that too, except Parakeet. Only the good broodies act like you'd expect when they see a chick.

Well, my Marans are nice, but it depends upon how you raise them. The one I cuddled as a chick turned sour when he got big, but the ones I paid little to no attention to are just as gentle as hens.

Probably d'uccles or seramas. Faverolles are also said to be quite docile.
