I think you should get him. Especially if you think no one else will.
Abused animals are difficult at first, but, once they learn that you're never going to let them down, they usually turn out to be the best pet ever. :3
Cats are fairly easy to look after, and you get free rodent control. XD

Okay, so, it's a bit dumb, but...

My dog hates most other dogs. I don't know if it's fear, aggression, or protection, but he gets really angry towards them. No matter what I do. ;--;
Despite me sitting him down and holding him away from other people's dogs, they still dangle their dogs in front of him.

But, today, I found some dog peanut butter!!! (Dylan loves normal peanut butter, but it's filled with sugar and salt, so I don't like him eating it. )
I used that to distract him when there were other dogs, AND IT SEEMED TO ACTUALLY WORK!

The only reason we don't have him now is because we need to fill out a form (we filled it out that day) the person needs to approve it, do a house check (she's gonna run screaming outta here) but if all of that gets excepted he's coming home!
