We never kill animals, regardless if it might kill the chickens. :/ No chickens were harmed, and my mom managed to trap it for the moment.

Ahahaa, yeah.... my family goes off of pure lucky when it comes to predators. We don't kill or transport any animals. I'm honestly surprised our flock isn't comepletely wiped out by now. -__-
The opossum is trapped in the chicken run now, and the coop is all locked up. We opened the run door and are just waiting for it to scurry off.

It will definitely come back and decimate your flock

I hate opossum, they are terrible creatures! I shot one on Halloween night in the past. Used a pellet gun with 7 shots, was gone the next morning some freaking how. Are your chickens okay? Hope so! Them and foxes are my least favorite animals... Those pest. Glad you've found hi on time!!

Wow, wish I could shoot the darn creature.
All the chickens are fine, luckily. =)
I hate skunks the most, because we had problems with them in the past.
