He's doing wonderful! I haven't been letting him free-roam, but he pretty much knows his boundaries now. I have an invisible fence system and it works pretty well. And he's been doing great with the flock as well. I'm going to wait until I'm 100% sure that I can trust him just to be on the safe side. I don't want to risk losing any birds. Ducks are probably the hardest to train an LGD with, compared to goats etc (since small animals are more likely to get injured if the LGD decides to be wild).

That is good to hear! Ah, I see. Yeah like a goat or a sheep can have a chance of defending themselves or being quicker with longer legs. It definitely must be a challenge to train the LGD dog with ducks. Glad he is doing pretty good though! I bet you are a great trainer.

Awww. They're so pretty. I have a hen that sorta looks like that. I've never been sure of her breed. What do you think?

Thank you so much! I appreciate it. Goodness, she is lovely!! I absolutely love her face and her eyes! I am no expert but it looks as though she could be a cross breed. From knowing her in person if she is bantam?
