Aww. I ruined a batch one time. I read in a book (a PUBLISHED, WELL-KNOWN book) that said you could put tin foil in the bottom of your incubator to make for easier clean-up. It did NOT mention that it would raise the temp. Or kill the eggs. :hit I got so sick. It was just my second incubation, too.
My first mistake was putting the eggs in upsideown. (I noticed in the manual it doesn't say anything about the position of the eggs.:mad:) the second was it got unplugged. The third was with duck eggs. Must have lost humidity or cooked them. Anyway, with that incubator, we did have a successful duck hatch, after a broody was sitting on them for 15 days, then we put them in the incubator. We decided to get the thing of dreams....
