The babies are out! Now just need them to dry off so they can go to the brooder. I think this was the best incubation yet.
Set 54 eggs:
Group A, jumbos, 8/11 fertile, 8/11 hatched
Group B, jumbos, 4/5 fertile, 4/5 hatched
Group C, jumbos, 7/8 fertile, 7/8 hatched
Group D, mixed colors, 0/8 fertile/non-start. I think I screwed these ones up because they were dirty and I washed them, I really wanted to see the colors I would get but I shouldn't have set them.
Group R, red females x red pharoah male, 1/1 fertile, died a few days into incubation. I think this pen has an egg eater, there were almost no eggs to try to hatch.
Group S, silvers, 1/4 fertile, 1/4 hatched. Two of the eggs had no outer layer, I only set them to see if I could get cool pictures of the embryo growing.
Group W, red pharoah male x red pharoah females, 13/13 fertile, 12/13 hatched. The one that didn't hatch died a few days into incubation.
All eggs were candled prior to setting and had no cracks or damage. All eggs were 12 grams or more, except the two that didn't have the outer layers. Some of the jumbo eggs were 15 and 16 grams.
