unlike @Texas Kiki....i’m too scared to move them/mess with them that quickly.....I wait a minimum of 10 hours or until fluffy and typically move all fluffies once every 24 hours....I try to avoid opening while one is zipping/actively hatching unless emergency! (and still my hatch rates aren’t as stellar as hers!!)

i threw some ripe cherry ‘maters from the garden on the salads we had for supper tonight! we also had quail egg shots, seared tuna steaks, bbq shrimp, and smoked sausage!! Last night we stewed some chicken and taters!

collected 33 quail eggs and 3 silkie eggs today!!! + a couple this morning that were laid after yesterday’s collection. (and took out 2 layers last night! 1 had not yet laid) found 1 of my scarlet hens has a swollen eye so will probably have to cull her this weekend.

8 of 25 eggs hatched (#8 may not make it) zero celadon!!
worst hatch yet!!
