➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

I just candled 4 of my current batch. They all show signs of life (yayy!), but they also all have the air pocket at the bottom (pointy end). Are they going to be okay?

I stored them pointy side down for two or three days before they went into the incubator.
Do they stand upright in your incubator or lay on their side?

They stand upright. I just candled the rest. They're *all* like that. On the plus side, not one is clear, though. Some I'm not sure about (I can see the clear part but the rest is pretty dark), but there are a bunch that have definite veins and movement.

What day are you on?

okay I don't think you're seeing the air sell down there at the bottom of the egg....
Air cells are pretty small still at 5 days.
That brightness down at the bottom is normal.

@BantyChooks what's it called?

@Nabiki see this eg.g... that is the pointy end on the right... That is not the air cell though.
Crap I can't think of what it's called right now.

Notice the fat end on the left... No visible air cell on day 3.
