That's what most of mine look like. There are several that are darker but still have the light end.Here is a day 5 egg.

Congrats and totally normal.Hi! Just had my first hatch- I got lucky and have 31 chicks out of 36 fertile eggs. However, one seemed weaker than the rest and passed away on day 2 in the brooder. Is this normal? Should I be concerned about the other guys? All the others seem bright and happy and are eating and drinking as far as I can tell.
