Awww sounds like you deserve the break!!! That’s sort of how I was the other day. I didn’t do as much work as that obviously but I was outside for hours, no phone, doing a lot of hard physical work, like scooping and shoveling shavings from behind the coop (A LOT had built up and because it was over time, most had packed down and required digging), filled a few barrels and then they were too heavy to move by myself, spread a few bags of potting soil on half the garden, sorted through some stuff around the coop and made a pile of stuff to throw out, watered the garden, etc., I got a lot done, at least for me, and also had the chickens out all that time, and also did A LOT of running (full on sprinting) away from wasps and bees

so lots of cardio too, oh and dragged/moved/lifted 2 bags of oyster shell (50 lb each) and one bag of grit (25 lb) from behind the coop into the storage shed, and moved them out of my way before that so I could shovel.
So anyway, it’s not much work by most standards but to me it was a lot, so the next day I had grand plans to go finish scooping shavings and put hardware cloth up along the chicken run finally or fence the garden in or at least do a ton of cleaning and organizing inside but I could barely get out of bed at first

did manage to get a few things accomplished though and today I’m much better but I was soooo sore (still am but better) I couldn’t move lol in fact, even that night, after I came in, I could barely make myself go to the store to get dinner.

kept collapsing into chairs.
For clarification: I have been trying to be more productive lately and get a lot of stuff done but I’m not used to that at all let alone physical labor like that

so it wore me out haha
Finally ready to go again though lol
Anyway, not to derail, but just that I too wore myself out and way overworked myself, and had to recover ha
Back to quail: speaking of that hardware cloth, I think I have enough to make several cages.
Just need the wood.
