The package was at my door when I walked up. I immediately and very carefully unwrapped it, numbered each egg, weighed them, quick candled and then set them.Since you have had these eggs for more than a half hour, I assume that you have already set them.
I feel your pain.
They want 425k for a home with 5 acres?![]()
Where I live 425K won't buy an 1100 square foot cracker box.
I could get a 20- or 30-acre place with a house in decent shape for nearly half that at any given time. And that's with running water, a septic, and electricity! If you don't want those amenities, then you can go much, much cheaper.
Yes, but the elvish houses are short. Real people would need to raise the roof. Or lower the floor. That would also work.
And your neighbors! Bears pooping in the woods. Coyotes howling at all hours of the night. Masked bandits stealing everything not nailed down. Penguins pooping on the porch. Urchins and elves running amok. You really live in a rough area. Don't get me started on the white stuff...
I know—I've been mugged by a penguin no less than three times this last week. Times are pretty hard for them.
Location, location, location.
Everybody wants to be somewhere today. Elsewhere tomorrow.
Yeah, CA is pretty dang expensive. If you want land, water, septic, electricity, and a house you have to pay a ton. Most of the places I've been looking at are major fixers and still super high priced. The fun part is most people can't pay outright for it but the banks won't lend on it because of the land.
You can't outrun a penguin? Or did you get flocked?
I will freely admit that if you want to live somewhere without neighbours that aren't, ah, inhaling the white stuff it'll be much more expensive—but hey, they haven't made trouble yet, and I've lived here a long time. I suppose some of the stuff that goes down here would be much more alarming if you weren't used to it. Still, crime rates are low.
Got caught with my pants down—literally. They're opportunistic.
Man. Sucks to be you guys.
Here you go. 672 square feet of space! Enough for your quail (and not you) at the low, low price of $289,000.
An apartment.![]()
I agree, must suck for them
While yall have discussed your books i have wondered if anyone has read The Dark Tower series by S.King? Love his work
I read the first one. Not my favourite of his books. I know a lot of people who love them, though.
The Talisman was my favorite but The Black House is a close runner up. Each did alot of tying into other stories. I love them all. I was an avid novel reader before adult life kicked in and now with much less time i choose to do my limited reading on here where im learning the most current info about poultry.
So i too haven't read a book cover to cover in Years. In my day thoughi devoured em. Loved alot of Grishams work too.
If you look closely, there are easter eggs referring to his other books in most of his books. They all tie together at least a little bit. The Talisman is one of my favourites too. He's such a good writer that I can finish one of his books, having been engrossed during the entire read, only to realize that not much actually happened!
I need a new murder book to read.
I don't know author's very well Do you have any suggestions?
I'm heading to my library now.
Have you read Red Dragon by Thomas Harris? It's an oldie, but good. Same author as Silence of the Lambs.
Edit: Charlaine Harris has some good murder/mystery books too. Books that aren't True Blood.
What author am I looking for here?
I found one do far.

Found her. Thanks.
Stephen King
Edit: Dean Koontz is always good too.
Thanks I ended up figuring it out but they didn't have any on the shelf.

I did all of that before I peed.
I need to read his books but are they scary?
We should both start reading again! Haha I haven’t read Grisham’s books but watched a couple of the movies based on them and always wanted to read the books. They looked good.
That’s so cool. I love when books, movies, songs, etc. reference other works haha especially when I know the reference.
I loveeeee mystery/detective/crime/murder books lol
Is it scary?? Silence of the Lambs is horror right? At least the movie is?
And wait... what’s wrong with True Blood? Lol genuinely asking cause heard of it but have never read. Is it just cause it’s so popular?
I gotta find these two but isn’t king horror?
Do you know Peter Swanson?Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Thomas Harris are horror, but I don't know what you find scary. Creepy? Disturbed? yes. I don't find them too scary because I know they're not real.
Nothing is wrong with True Blood. I like the series a lot, actually, but I don't really like what they did with the show. True Blood isn't really murder/mystery though. It's urban fantasy. I like urban fantasy, and if you're going to read urban fantasy, read Ilona Andres, or Patricia Briggs too.
I read mostly SF or fantasy, so I've only read a few dozen murder/mystery books. I'll have to check him out, though. The name sounds familiar.Do you know Peter Swanson?
I really liked his murder books.
I'd like to find some more like his.
