My youngest brother hated reading. With three of us being gifted, and all great readers, my mother was distressed. I gave him my Christopher Pike books when he was ten. He was deep into them, and my mother found out I’d let him read scary books. She was really shrieking until I said, “but, Mom, he’s reading voluntarily.” I switched him to R.L. Stein (Goosebumps) for a few years to compromise, and my mother began buying a few of our books to make up for me getting my brother’s grades up.

Haha that is awesome!!

I’m not a horror fan either, but I do enjoy Hitchcock.

I might have to read a few of those. They are not too scary I think ? Think I have heard of that guy lol

While yall have discussed your books i have wondered if anyone has read The Dark Tower series by S.King? Love his work
I've read the first one and maybe the second? My cousin recommended them but I didn't really like them.

Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Thomas Harris are horror, but I don't know what you find scary. Creepy? Disturbed? yes. I don't find them too scary because I know they're not real.

Nothing is wrong with True Blood. I like the series a lot, actually, but I don't really like what they did with the show. True Blood isn't really murder/mystery though. It's urban fantasy. I like urban fantasy, and if you're going to read urban fantasy, read Ilona Andres, or Patricia Briggs too.
Omg Ilona Andrews is awesome!! I knew I was forgetting at least one great author on my list from before.

My brothers used to love those books lol
i’ve read almost every book under his title list (with exception of some “kids” series new “book shots” collections, and some of the “private” series and newer “political” ones). most of my books now are audible so i can listen at bedtime vs keeping hubby awake reading.
