If it was mine, I would open the hatcher, take out the pipped, zipped egg and pop the cap off of it and let the chick push itself out unless it is shrink wrapped. If shrink wrapped, I would gently moisten the dried membrane until it can be peeled back.right. OK. The question is when should I candle? The first one has been in the hatcher 12 hours now and he/she is really lonely and crying.. I am thinking of taking him/her out and put it in the brooder. But I have a zipped egg... Shall I open the hatcher, shall I not?
