Looks like a real yellow to me. English white coloring, the spot will probably turn out brown and the yellow fluff will be white feathers.

I had to pick it up to turn it over to look for a bullseye... A bullseye that I knew was not going to be there because I haven't seen any mating.
And my boys are not talking yet.

Ahh I see. Isn’t the bullseye usually obvious/right on top? Or not always? And hmmm... probably not ready yet then.
