That stinks. Yes, it is. Buff Chantecler bantams just got accepted this year—there hasn't been an APA bid yet.

I was pretty sure you were talkn about your Chanteclers :love do they run about the same 60$ ? Im dreading telling my DH i want a book that costs that much about chickens :oops: he Will let me have it tho jus have to explain its importance.

Not sure, I'm not familiar with the ABA standard at all. I wasn't planning on bantams; I only switched to them just last year because of a huge opportunity bloodline-wise... originally I was going to do LF, so I got the corresponding standard.

OK, as of this morning my "hatched with assistance 6.80grams" is doing well and moving around, praise God! It is still mainly sleeping, but looks more lively than before, I think it is eating.. I keep it with the rest.
Meanwhile I have 19 new that hatched this morning (3 hours earlier than expected so woke me up). I took them out in the brooder. 62 eggs still to hatch today.

BTW, someone told me they should hatch in dark, so I am covering the incubator.

@el dorado quail did you say you had one with hernia? How many did you end up with eventually?

I would not cover the bator...they won't be able to see to get out of the egg.
