So I just found one of the real runty ones dead. He kind of had pasty butt last night and I got it cleared out but his vent was really protruding so that makes me think he had a weird vent deformity? It looked pasty again and I had checked it like 2 and a half hours ago and it was fine.
Mom thinks no eyes is dying and she's carrying him around in the yard sobbing. Because he needed to feel the wind and sun...at least once!
ALSO. A couple of them are getting really hard, slickish, crusty feathers, is that from them rolling through water and then feed??? Tonight I am going to move them to a bigger brooder (if they cant fit through the slats) and make different food/water setups so hopefully the half drowning will stop. Do I need to wash off the crusty guys?

Depends on how bad it is. If it's bad you could try brushing them gently with a toothbrush to see if that breaks up the crustiness. Or if you feel comfortable doing so, could give them a slight bath in warm water and immediately pat dry and place under a heat lamp. Once the fluff dries out again it should no longer be crusty. Most avoid bathing chicks though because they get chilled so easily.

The crustiness might also go away when they groom themselves, so basically when their feathers start growing in.

It's staying inside your garage right? That's cool they're strong enough! My aviary is mostly 2x6s and 4x4s. Might try to make a couple smaller breeding pens with 2x4s tho
Garage or shed... but protected from wind either way. It really is quite strong though. I am going to brace it a bit to take out the slight wobble, and then it will be really tough.
