➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Dang, the auctions are hot today. I was thinking about bidding on the pearl fee that they have up now, but the price has already gone over what I'm willing to pay right now.
Nope.
I am not even going to look today.

I'm hoping that I start getting eggs with the birds in their new spot. I know that moving them every couple of weeks probably isn't helping, but I think they'll be comfortable in the new garden bed for now.

They're almost 8 weeks old now, so I keep hoping for eggs. The jumbos started laying at 6 weeks.

boy have i learned a lot from this whole city thing!!!
we are prepared to fight for clarification on livestock vs pets where coturnix quail, rabbits, and ornamental gamebirds are concerned. if they decide that rabbits are livestock and any animal of similar size/character is also included then they have to also include guinea pigs as livestock and require that everyone who purchases either animal must abide by same law at 1 per 1000 sq ft gross area. coturnix quail also includes buttons therefore I forgot my total thought hahaha! Didn’t realize this posted as I didn’t complete my thought before I headed outside! But u guys get the picture!
Nope.
I am not even going to look today.
I’m watching but sticking by my decision to break from incubation for at least until October!!!

We chose to “take off” from all of the pending chores today and enjoy the backyard! Chores procrastinated until tomorrow! I released some “littles” and brought the turkey poults out to play for the day!!!! It’s absolutely hilarious watching them! And show me “livestock” that responds to commands!!!! The chukars, pheasant, and quail are all by nature inquisitive about the newbies but it doesn’t take much than a “no no” from us to keep them from hurting the littles!!!
