have you considered adding your homegrown girls to the pansy cages? that probably wouldn’t overload and would free up some cage space for babies.

Well what I was supposed to do was keep back a pansy male for those three homegrown girls but I got caught up in the moment of trying to get the extra pansy males butchered I forgot to save one.

So I am going to put one of my current baby males in with them in a few weeks...I think.


I might have a problem with butchering extra males too quickly.
I am too worried about fighting.
I'd rather not ever have to deal with that mess so I off the known males quickly.

I am thinking I am going to be in big trouble trying to figure out which are males in the current corful batch.

I think that’s a good idea!! And maybe just off some of the males and save some? I would say wait for fighting but that sounds like a disaster. I think we will have opposite problems if I ever get quail... I go too slow/wouldn’t do it, you go too fast.

I've already decided I will set eggs again asap.
I will probably try some of my own Pansy eggs or I might accidentally won an auction.
Not for at least a month though.

Not really but I’d want to.

You would end up a real hoarder with 20 cages.
From just one batch of set eggs.
