I would say it was a quitter too. There isn't much in the way of veining for the day they are at, and in comparison to the others.

So with all of these quail you are hatching, will you have multiple brooders or will you merge them? I know you had those extra cages to use too.

Well for the triplets I'm just using a little plastic tub thing for now. I'll be moving them out this week...the tub is already too small for me.
This next bunch...not sure yet.
I have a few dog kennels I might use for just a couple of days before I kick them out too.
I haven't really decided yet.
I'll decide once I get outside and finish all the cages.
I really am going to finish them all this week.

I bought the 1/4 floor to put over the 1/2 cloth so I could just move them out at day three ish.

I cracked open the remaining eggs.. lots of infertile (probably 50%).

3 that pipped and didnt progress /died. 2 that had obviously died prior to lockdown.

Pretty stoked with the 14 hatched - from eggs I bought online &shipped
Just waiting and hoping for the turkeys..
