This is one of the males. (I now think that 2 of the other 3 are males too)

I no longer know what color these really are.
They are from my Pansy hatch.

I thought these were make over before and after shots. Then you post the same before pictures and say he is your favorite. I'm guessing you didn't eat him? Or he is your favorite since you ate him?

I'm about ready to dump all but one of my falb fee bunch. Only one is laying. One other has laid a total of 3 eggs in the last month.

I'm going to have to separate out one hen at a time until I figure out which one is laying. Kind of a pain, but I do want to keep the the one that is producing. I'm also going to set some eggs from this hen, and if they're not fertile, the boy is going too because he's not doing his job.

Do you have light on them? May be the seasonal slow down. I took the lights off mine because the dogs "needed" their heat lamp back. It got down to the 50s. Then the hens laid an egg yesterday. I collected 11 eggs out of 12 layers. Explain this to me.

I'm done hatching this year. It's all good. Unless I get chicken eggs. Then I'm done. Happy New Year!

Hi everyone,

I have a question - how possible is it to keep two males, no females in a cage together?

Three of the Golden Giants are male (Brown masks) - and all are so endearing and flying to my hand the moment I open the pen (why is it always the male Goldies who do this)

I have a couple of females for one - but not 3 - usually, all the males are sent to the cooking pot.

I do have more chicks - just hatched yesterday - but only 3 wild with the rest golden and I do not tend to breed golden to golden.

so...
Do I pick one for the cooking pot and keep 2?
Or
Try to keep 2 males together for a while?

When my son is next home will get a video of them flying to my hand and walking over the dog and chatting to him - hahaha perhaps you can help me choose if I have to cull one
