➡ Quail Hatch Along🥚

Same eggs (look at that awesome job on the shell :gig).. I was poking around with them excitedly showing hubby how beautiful & healthy they look!
Might not be too long before we set our own eggs!!!:celebrate

1 more hatched this morning, but I found 1 dead in the brooder. 6 out of 58 hatches died. :( Although, it is 52 birds still alive.
I'm heading into the office for the day. Wife is at home and will make sure the have food and water and can get to it. She was really hands off during the incubation period, and now I have to pull her away from the brooder. My little guy (2yrs old) loves the chicks. I cannot get enough of them - all look no touch for now.

I should not have come here. Now I want to hatch quail again.

Old part of the thread but the Brinsea incubators are set it and forget it. They don't have the version I use any more but i'm sure the new versions are as idiot proof. I keep one trough full for my humidity and don't worry about anything else until lock down. Then I take it off the turner and fill the other trough to hatch. Sometimes I may not check it for up to a week but that is a bad habit because the water is gone by that time.

FYI Kiki... quail heads pop off easy...

Want me to send eggs now?
Looks like I'm getting about 50 percent fertility...so how many quailies do you want to start back up with?

Not yet but soon. I need to have electric run to my chicken and quail coops. It is hard getting an electrician out here. :he

Hubs is getting tired of my extension cords all over the place so to keep him happy I have to have the coops wired. I'm thoughtful that way. :frow
