I don't recall anyone saying that I play fair.

Me! Me! Pick MEEEE! I'm completely normal. Yep, entirely normal. I can be the normal control group and judge everyone else compared to me.
The people who are released from mental institutions have papers saying that they are sane. How do the rest of the people prove it?

I don't have papers.
:(

But you aren't certified either.

Wait....I don't think I want yours.

You can borrow mine... but only if you remember to copy your name over, not mine, so they don't know I let you copy it.

Hey now, I’m perfectly sane. :p

I was just thinking that you're all certifiably INSANE!!!

Cute little buggers!

the ideal number is 10 gal per inch of fish, BUT that can be difficult in your situation....so i agree the 75 gallon is much better for them temporarily through winter until you can get them a pond built in the spring! i’m currently at estimated 40” fish in a 300 gallon  but they seem happy and healthy so i’m waiting to make a decision in the spring as to expansion or re-homing.

Oh wow that’s a lot of water! Ha

Thanks, yeah I would love to be able to get them a bigger tank, but this was as big as I could get. I didn’t want to get in trouble or anything and do the stock idea regardless so I compromised. I still think they’re way better off than most goldfish.

And yeah, exactly. I’m going by the happy and healthy thing. That’s the other reason I don’t think the rule is so black and white because some fish are perfectly happy in smaller areas or with poor quality food and some get sick even in a bigger one or with good food, just like birds, kids, dogs, etc. lol

Not saying I would do it permanently or anything but this is as big as I could get and it was half off so I took advantage of the sale.

I get that everyone just cares about the fishes well being and I do too and appreciate it but it’s just everyone said I needed a bigger tank and needed it yesterday so I went out and bought one instead of keeping them in the 20 an extra few months and saving hundreds of dollars, thinking I was doing a good thing for them, only to be told it’s still not big enough, not good enough, won’t work. It’s just a little bit discouraging and honestly frustrating.

I also really don’t think they will double in size in a couple months or die or anything anytime soon.

They were in the other tank for 3 years. This is a major upgrade for them.

Of course I would love to be able to buy them a bigger tank or keep them in a pond year round but I can’t right now so I did the best I could for the time being only to be told it’s not good enough.

Sorry, I’ll stop now haha

You should get a second one of the larger filters for the 75.

Okay I’ll do that but it might not be here for a few days.

On Chewy it’s about half the price as it is in the pet store so I can get two for basically one hah

I should have just gotten two when I got it initially instead of the other 20.

I didn’t realize it was too strong for bettas until after I bought it and had to order some sponge ones instead.

So now idk what I’m gonna use it for or what to put in the 20 when I move the goldfish out.

A lot of the caffeine response depends on how much body weight the person has and on how fast the caffeine is broken down. As you get older you’ll likely find you have a longer window of response to caffeine. I used to be like you. ;) :p Now I’m old. :lau No caffeine for me after 1:00 p.m.
