They’ll be popping here soon!
I'm just sitting here staring at my bator. I keep think I NG I hear something shell breaking but I'm not really hearing it.
Come on slow pokes.
I did hear some peeping... When I put one to my ear.![]()

Just because it doesn't have the 'classic' wry neck profile, does not mean it's not wry neck. I have had chicks exactly like yours with the neck veiring off to the side....both pheasants and quail, and looking at your pic, it is wry neck. Most likely a vitamin deficiency in the breeding stock. I have never been able to get either my pheasants or quail cured...I have used every cure there is without any results.(Vit B, E, Selenium, Polyvisol, turmeric) etc.So.. after googling and reading (what on earth did I do before Dr Google)
I don't think my yellow quail has Wry Neck. Possibly trauma from their crazy chasing of mealworms yesterday, or maybe impacted/damaged crop (although can't feel or see anything in there). I gave it a food/water slurry. Shall watch and wait. I feel I should probably cull it, as I fret about them suffering
Thanks for the info on wry neck -had never heard of it before. Very interesting!![]()
I don't think a couple of hours will hurt that much...as long as you got the internal egg temp back up to incubation temp.Short version:
It's windy here today.
I had to leave home this morning.
My power went out and just came back on a little while ago.
Power out for a few hours.
Unknown as to just how cold the eggs got.
I'm just sick...waiting for the sun to go down so I can candle.
Nothing I can do at this point but wait.

Doesn't mean you won't have luck, I just never have had any luck in correcting wry neck.
