Ask a neighbor how long? Maybe 10 minutes? The hygrometers have a max and min temp and humidty recorded. I just have to remember to reset them after candling. I'm not doing that, but intend to.

Quail Coop #1 complete and awaiting inhabitants. A few things need tweaking. Happy overall. The wind didn't blow it down. I'm happy about that.

Your batch will go in the #2 coop?

People were here at the time. They just didn't keep an eye on the clock to be able to tell me how long. I can't fuss anymore because it really doesn't matter. It is/was not their fault. I guess.

So.. after googling and reading (what on earth did I do before Dr Google )

I don't think my yellow quail has Wry Neck. Possibly trauma from their crazy chasing of mealworms yesterday, or maybe impacted/damaged crop (although can't feel or see anything in there). I gave it a food/water slurry. Shall watch and wait. I feel I should probably cull it, as I fret about them suffering

The triplets are in cage #2. These will be split up in the rabbit cages.

You are lucky you had some laying around - my poor long-suffering partner has graciously submitted to my commandeering 8 of his folding tote bins last week

In all seriousness, I hope your hatch goes well still And if it doesn't go great, well, we've all screwed them up and any healthy chicks you do get are there because of your hard work and dedication. None of them would have had a chance without you! And I'm hoping the damage will be minimal considering it was the best possible time for this to have happened. You should have ones that make it and ones that don't but minimal deformed survivors, which are the worst imo.

well I’ve gone and done it now! Again, you say??......
I ordered my 25+ Tuxedo assortment last night and then for giggles I bid on a 30 ct rare color like my last hatch and well, I won!!! So guess who just placed order for larger incubator (and hubby doesn’t know yet! shhhhh!)
I didn’t get the brinsea cuz I couldn’t justify $400 when this may be my last hatch for awhile. (if i only get 50% survival, I will have over 50 quail total)
