Turkey eggs are nice and easy to see inside :gig

One of my little qualies has a crooked neck all of a sudden (had to be the all yellow one darn it!). I have no idea why? (See if my pics work)
And 2 of my brown ones have the worst eye sight ever.. they literally peck 1cm from where they are aiming

Maybe I need some better genes in my stock.. might have to buy more eggs before I start hatching my own :barnie

Have you gotten him on vitamin E/selenium? It should do the trick within a few days if it's just wry neck, though sideways is a little atypical for it. I actually had a yellow chick with a severely bent neck in my first hatch - pretty sure the poor little guy inherited two yellow genes before I knew what I was doing, he responded to vitamins but that wasn't his only issue and he didn't make it long. May I ask what colors the possible parents are? Is he theoretically an english white chick? That shouldn't be the issue if so.

Short version:
It's windy here today.
I had to leave home this morning.
My power went out and just came back on a little while ago.
Power out for a few hours.
Unknown as to just how cold the eggs got. :(

I'm just sick...waiting for the sun to go down so I can candle.
:hit

Nothing I can do at this point but wait.
:pop:fl

Ask a neighbor how long? Maybe 10 minutes? The hygrometers have a max and min temp and humidty recorded. I just have to remember to reset them after candling. I'm not doing that, but intend to.

Quail Coop #1 complete and awaiting inhabitants. A few things need tweaking. Happy overall. The wind didn't blow it down. I'm happy about that.

Your batch will go in the #2 coop?

It’s so windy here too! This morning we had gusts up to 55 mph, and it’s ice cold wind. We even got flurries!!

Hopefully your quailies are okay. :hugs:fl
