feeders? One of DS college friends inquired about buying a quail to feed his wife’s fox.....Of course my first question was if she had a game breeder permit to keep a fox

No permits needed for fox here since they are listed as a varmint.

@Kiki one of the homegrown eggs is pipped so it’s two days early. And before you ask two external thermometers tell me temp is right on the money

that’s interesting.....they are definitely on the list here along with coyote, raccoon etc. main requirement for permit here is that CO has to inspect and approve your enclosure

I'm going to have to hatch more quail. I just got another response from someone wanting quail. We'll see if he's serious, but if so, I'm going to be left with just the ones I want to keep for breeding and none to eat.

I have an excuse to hatch more chicks!

Edit: This means that I need to get more eggs, though. Mine aren't producing yet.

Do you want random colors or only SSC?

I like the SSC, but I don't think they're the colour I want forever. I'm still deciding what colours I want to settle on.

Edit: I'm finding that pictures don't tell me enough about the colours. I have to see them in person.
