Kiki has too much more important things that are already taking up the majority of her spare time.

Hmm that’s true but a little nature viewing is good for anybody.

I thought she walked a lot? Where does she walk if not through there? I would be walking through there or at least driving through it all the time.

Which reminds me, I need to start walking more myself.

Tons of areas around here with plenty of wildlife and birds to watch/listen to.

I am making a wild guess that you do not have a bird feeder out for them. Even I have bird feeders.

they can’t pass diseases to your birds if they can’t get to them.

Mine have never gotten sick and we have a bazillion wild birds here. I can’t really control it though because we have such prime habitat for many kinds and plenty of food even without feeding them and couldn’t get rid of them if I wanted to lol

But, uhhh... you play in the dirt don’t you? Dirt has diseases too

No need to be paranoid of the wild birds.

This is coming from possibly the most paranoid person alive.

Also.... if you fed them at one point then I guess you do have birds there after all.

So you only really have pigeons and doves around there? I’m surprised you don’t have any songbirds or anything. Maybe they are at the neighbors house.

Not trying to argue or anything but I am genuinely curious how they can give them diseases if they don’t have contact with them?? I’m talking strictly like penned/cooped poultry, no contact with wild birds or stuff they touched. Not necessarily with the wild birds themselves.

Very true. I don’t let Luna out anymore in the spring cause I don’t want her eating baby animals.

I don’t think she even hunts anymore and she’s never brought any home but I’m not chancing it.

Though I also just don’t let her out in general anymore, not just spring, but still.

I thought about catching some Inca doves that keep going into one of my pheasant pens to eat the BOSS or white sunflower hearts that I feed my birds this time of year.
They are so delicate, small and very pretty birds, they can barely stand the stress of being trapped in the pen and me catching them to turn them loose.
