That’s interesting as many years ago I was on a college trip to your area for bird watching/identification

There is a wildlife park thing down the street.
I am sure there are millions of birds there....I usually don't see any in my yard...ever.

I can’t imagine that. We have sooo many. Can’t always see them all but can hear them. Especially in the spring haha and when we feed them, you really get to see them. But I haven’t been feeding them lately.

I’m just shocked you don’t have birds there and also have never seen a woodpecker.

They are so common here which is why I was shocked. Didn’t mean to laugh.

Also wait now I’m curious. I know you say you don’t have them here but you’ve never been outside the city either?

I’m surprised you don’t have them there because when we were in Florida there was one hammering away on a palm tree right next to the hotel pool/in the courtyard thingy mere feet from us.

He is gone but I did see another little thing fly into the tree for a quick second before he bailed again.
I think I might have to turn in to one of those little old ladies who sit outside with binoculars looking for birds.

I am making a wild guess that you do not have a bird feeder out for them. Even I have bird feeders.

put a bird feeder by the window or somewhere visible and you won’t need binoculars!

Birds really are fun to have around. They’re so pretty and make so many pretty songs.

I am making a wild guess that you do not have a bird feeder out for them. Even I have bird feeders.

I need to start filling mine again. And also put one closer to the house so I can see them better.

I vote @Kiki gets a bird feeder!!

Those little nest boxes/birdhouses that you can attach to your window or glass door are pretty neat too. The birds can’t see you but you can see the baby birdies up close and personal.

I haven’t noticed any bird crap anywhere except from my own chickens when they go on the deck. They love the deck no matter how many times I shoo them off.

But never noticed any wild bird poop anywhere. They’re so tiny not sure I would lol

But we also have tons of woods and grass and brush and actual nature areas so I guess they crap there instead.

Have had the occasional bird crap on my windshield and I once had one crap on my head years ago but both are rare occurrences here.

Kiki has too much more important things that are already taking up the majority of her spare time.
