The know I was wrong.Bull!!!
Deformed males.6 months then? I suppose 4 is still way too young, right?
The know I was wrong.
It takes two years Kdog.
If you try before the one year mark you will get nothing but deformed male birds.
Deformed males.
It's real.is this a real thing or a thing to discourage me from hatching/acquiring more chickens right now!?

Either way, no need. I don’t actually want to hatch anytime soon anyway haha
Thinking maybe November or December or so though when they’ll be a year old.
Though if one of the hens decides to go broody before then..... I wouldn’t discourage her.![]()
All of it.Even the male part?![]()
i would charge a flat fee per batch to cover cost of electricity and offset cost of incubator/brooder/initial feed....like $20 for up to max incubator capacity and would be easier to get the money up front that way and in the event that they don’t pick the chicks up within first week, they can choose to pay you brooding fees or you can sell their birds to someone else!I have no idea how much to charge. 50 cents an egg? $1/egg?
could do same guarantee as shipper....which with myshire is 60%.....as long as some agreement, i see no real loss in the plan! chances are she will incubate a few extra homegrowns to offset any shortages on a 60% hatch!Use your sadistics on her! That'll teach her! Math!
Any guarantees? If I buy 500 eggs, I want 500 chicks.
Might have to teach them that depending on the eggs and delivery, the hatch rate could be anywhere between 0 and 100%. We know the incubation will be perfect.
