Thank goodness we’ve got a backyard full of meat!! Meat market is currently out of chicken until next week!! DH said ppl are even hoarding dog food for emergency rations!!

I'm getting pretty annoyed with this whole hoarding thing. I actually have toilet paper on my shopping list, not to hoard, but because I actually need some. There isn't any to be found.

This is why everyone went out and bought lots--because they knew this was gonna happen. I blame the media campaign to create a panic. There never was any valid reason for this, but that doesn't matter. Once it starts, it doesn't stop until either the demand largely dries up because folks have enough that they're no longer scared--or people have spent as much as they're willing/able to spend--or it just peters out because nothing's happening really, more than happens every time a new flu virus goes around, and anyway, they can't figure out where to stash any more toilet paper, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, alcohol, bleach, etc. Remember Jimmy Carter's tp shortage? I was a kid, but as far as I know, there never was ANY reason for that one.

Also, there are apparently disgusting little money-grubbing weasels (not to disparage weasles) who, at the first sniff of this, went out and bought up all the surgical masks, hand sanitizer, etc they could lay their hands on and then put their huge hoards on ebay, amazon, etc. at monstrously inflated prices. It may be legal, but sure ain't right.

You'll be perhaps somewhat mollified to hear that the major platforms are pulling sellers' permits from these people, leaving them with tens of thousands of dollars worth of goods in storage (which they cannot afford and now cannot sell) while everyone else goes without. It's a shame all around. It doesn't help patients much to know this is why their hospital has no masks, but I'm still glad these people's self-serving greed has backfired on them.

If I had, I wouldn’t admit it.

6 weeks old. No foam, no bulge or crowing. Lots of fighting. 3 of them have feathers pulled from their heads. The white feathered one that you predicted is a female hasn't. Not sure if that is a predictor.

If you let me hatch 4 roosters, I'm gonna laugh.
