@Kiki Now that you know first hand how small these eggs are, you can tell just how small @Nabiki 's hands are.I am trying so hard to resist setting these. I better boil them up quick.

Oh, you're evil.Set them. You know you want to SET them.
They are not too small to eat. Throw a bunch of them into a pot, add vegetables, cook down, remove bones, season and thicken and make quail pot pies.Oh, you're evil. View attachment 2062462
Edit: You have to give me a solution of what to do with more button birds, though. I don't need any more, and they're too small to eat. I suppose I could feed them to the cats...
You know, I have enough quail in the freezer that I just might do that this weekend. Make several pot pies in bread pans and freeze them for later. They are not too small to eat. Throw a bunch of them into a pot, add vegetables, cook down, remove bones, season and thicken and make quail pot pies.
When I first moved to Wyoming, an old man was arrested for shooting robins and eating them. If he could eat robins, you can eat those fake quail. They are not too small to eat. Throw a bunch of them into a pot, add vegetables, cook down, remove bones, season and thicken and make quail pot pies.
People do eat tiny birds. This was a food street in Kyoto. When I first moved to Wyoming, and old man was arrested for shooting robins and eating them. If he could eat robins, you can eat those fake quail.
Black bird gumbo is nice during the migration. Doves are smaller than quail. Robins are easy with a pellet gun. Sitting ducks, so to speak. I've heard stories, but that is all my lawyers will allow me to say.People do eat tiny birds. This was a food street in Kyoto.
I didn't actually eat any. There were sooo many things to try that I didn't get to those.Black bird gumbo is nice during the migration. Doves are smaller than quail. Robins are easy with a pellet gun. Sitting ducks, so to speak. I've heard stories, but that is all my lawyers will allow me to say.
When you are starving, a lot of things are on the menu. Ducks are desired simply because they are larger and easier targets.
How were the sparrows?
