I put in an order for some Falb Fee eggs from Myshire. Looks like they are expected towards the end of May. That's okay, I can wait. They'll be mostly used to introduce the Fee gene to other colors (like my lavenders, that's gonna be one of my projects).

Mine said that same delivery date and mine are coming this week. I was pretty shocked.

Yep - marketing. Takes a special person to be able to make and sell. I'm trying to sell some layer hens after the so-called egg business didn't hatch. Good eggs, but variable markets. Kinda awkward selling at work too. The farmer's markets shutting down is an issue for those that do that. I don't like the virus nor the response.

The quail layers took off also. The grow out cages are doing well. Time to down size.

We shall see what the future holds. How many eggs do you have in your frig?

It seems to me that food is likely to become the new gold standard. A lot of other folks seem to think the same way, which would be why all the baby chicks are disappearing and so are the garden seeds. None of it may come to anything, but having a little garden and a flock is a good thing, imo. I think it helps people to become more "real." (Velveteen Rabbit reference.)

I'm selling out of chicks, ducklings, and eggs.

Chicks that haven't even hatched yet are sold. It's honestly insane.

I have someone who wants my quail too.

I wish I had more land because I'd be getting pigs, rabbits, and other food sources.

So we have been calling our little homestead Fort Cluck Farms and somebody told me that they just googled our farm and there isn't one

Our coop is called Fort Cluck that's why it's my name on here...
