Perhaps. This is the quail hatch along thread, though, so I made assumptions.

I wouldn't accept a day 24 hatch for a chicken either.
I'd be sure to KNOW my bator is reading correctly.

sorry i think i did. quail is the next thing i am hatching so @Kiki was telling me to understand and know how finicky my incubator is

I'd be sure to KNOW my bator is reading correctly.

I wouldn't either but this was my first hatch with this incubator. I thought they died and it was my fault although it really is

well i said they were in a cool spot! and the others started hatching 4 days earlier but know it's a forced air incubator which should get rid of that problem

You will still need to check the temperature in multiple spots after the conversion. Forced air incubators can also have varying temperatures in different locations. The variances should not be as great as they can be in a still air incubator but they can still happen.

One area of particular concern can be near the motor for the egg turner.

ok i have to say that was the wildest candling I’ve done to date!!
has anyone candled pheasant eggs before?? (besides the obvious of course ) i was a little confused and thought maybe i was a bit early or maybe the first one was clear but as i was watching the shadow in a few of them, it rolled over to reveal the veins!!! in all the other eggs I’ve candled, the veining was the first sign of life......I’m in love with them already!!! I sooo hope some hatch!!!.......most of my HGs are fertile and the myshire candled so far.....I will candle the other incubator in a day or 2!

I like a heavy bottom glass cup...you know the ones you drink whiskey out of?
It holds my phone perfectly still....it's my hands that can't quite keep still enough.
