I built a hatcher so i could just put the eggs in the incubator as they're laid. I posted a post this morning about an egg I got last night. Can you check it out please? I could use some opinions.

I answered on your thread.....it is normal to get one like that occasionally......i have incubated them, or you could crack it open to check for fertility.......

I have a question about hatching eggs. the chicks I just hatched roll all of the unmatched eggs to the other end of the incubator then go over there and sit around/on them. will this affect the hatch rate?

not for me. Quite common.

It can affect the hatch if they are too wet when they are doing this and can cause the pores in the unhatched eggs to get plugged up. At sea level it will not be as much of a problem as it is here at altitude where the atmosphere is thinner and can cause suffocation if the pores get blocked too much.
