My current hypotheses are:
Thermostat and ceramic bulb thing are causing too large of temp fluctuations. By the time is clicks back on and the bulb warms back up the temp has dropped too low. If I turn up the thermostat temp it won’t click off until the temp is over 100. I also question if my heat circle is too small and the warm spot limited to the floor right underneath and the surrounding air doesn’t warm enough.
I am trialing just an always on incandescent bulb but have to figure out the right wattage and/or distance away to keep it. It also seems like even when a thermometer measures over 100 the air really isn’t that warm.
So, that kind of stuff.

I don't know ceramic bulbs.
I use a regular old school bulb.

I have until the 15th to change it, right??? I chose almost exact time of my birth and I actually based my guess using average of 1200ish messages per day but I haven’t checked my math in a couple days to get a more accurate average

my very first Quail eggs are going into lockdown tomorrow night.

Up to 50 chicks now. Another is zipping now, and I see pips in most of the rest, and there are probably pips in the couple that I can't see.

Yes!! Plus that whole season 3 in general was so intense lol but especially the last two!!! The stuff with Ben broke my heart I cried so hard haha

brought the 3 stooges back in for a few days because supposed to drop down to freezing again Friday night! Heater is plugged up in the sub aviary and Thinking of wrapping in plastic too.....still trying to figure out how to keep from losing the garden!!! Freezing temps on Mother’s Day!! Have I ever said how much I hate Ohio Valley Weather!!!
