It amazes me how much of a difference in size 3 days makes. There are three hatches in here. The first hatch was 3 days before the second. The third was only 1 day behind the second.

The most amazing thing is that one of my 4 chicks doesn't just look exactly like his father, it also appears to share the same character! It is just as tame as he was and wants to sit on my hand all the time. I fear that he was reborn to get another chance terrorizing me.

They really are, especially the Fee!

All 24 shipped eggs hatched on their own. I could't be happier Two of my own eggs stopped developing at some point. That makes 28 chicks in total.

The only thing leaving a bitter aftertaste is, none of these chicks looks like the ordered color!
The two yellowish chicks hatched from my own eggs. This is how they should've looked like.

But I am really courious now how they will look like in a few weeks.

If you look at My Shire's descriptions, many of the color varieties yield an unpredictable but specified range of colors. If you ordered a thousand, you could likely foretell the approximate numbers of the various colors, all else being equal, but even that outcome will depend on an incredible number of chance match-ups. IOW, you get what you get, though always somewhere within the possible range of the parent genetics.
