The crow. I figure that if it let me pick it up without even trying to escape, there's something seriously wrong with it. I don't want a diseased crow near my quail.

DH's twin cousins had a pet crow they had trained, which could say quite a large range of words and phrases, I'm told. Could it have been a pet, I wonder?

I doubt it from the way the other crows were acting. They were being protective of it.

The most amazing thing is that one of my 4 chicks doesn't just look exactly like his father, it also appears to share the same character! It is just as tame as he was and wants to sit on my hand all the time. I fear that he was reborn to get another chance terrorizing me.

I'm afraid of that too my eggs haven't hatched yet, but tomorrow is the third day of lockdown!

Animal control peeps (last I heard) have to vaccinate for rabies, in case. On the plus side, I believe rabies shots do confer immunity for a significant period of time. My eldest daughter had to get them many years ago over a cat bite, that and immune globulin for immediate effect. A cat she had been strictly forbidden to approach...

If you look at My Shire's descriptions, many of the color varieties yield an unpredictable but specified range of colors. If you ordered a thousand, you could likely foretell the approximate numbers of the various colors, all else being equal, but even that outcome will depend on an incredible number of chance match-ups. IOW, you get what you get, though always somewhere within the possible range of the parent genetics.

Myshire is a breeder in the US, right? I don't mind if they look different from what I have ordered. My flock is pretty colorful, so even if not all turn out to be cinnamon, they will fit in there perfectly.

Highly unlikely since crows are no longer allowed to be possessed by individuals. I had a pet crow but that was long before the Migratory Bird Treaty with Mexico.
