āž” Quail Hatch Along🄚

I might have some recessive white in my lavenders. Two of the chicks hatched very yellow. Lavender is a pretty light color anyway, so maybe not, but these guys are yellow as can be.

We'll see as they feather out :) If they are recessive white, I'll probably pull them into their own pen, then try to figure out which cock and hen(s) are carrying it in my breeding group of Lavs and sell them.
I hope they're not albinos! I've been getting an unusual number of albinos lately, so I'm going to have to figure out where they're coming from. I'm not sure if they're from my pens or from @Kiki 's. I had 3 in this last hatch.

Hmm, I hadn't looked at their eyes to see. Guess I better check it out!

Here's one of the little potential recessive whites:

Its eyes are dark, thank goodness, so it's not albino.

I had also 3 pinky eyes in the hatch of my silver roo. One's eyes turned dark, while mature and another turned dark red. One of them still have red eyes.
As they are only very light, not totally white, I assume that they have cinnamon genes, as they have red eyes either.

I try to make some pics tomorrow.
