Updated pics on my button chicks. I have some really interesting colours. @muddy75 Any idea what these are called? I love the silver with the red edges on the feathers and the one that looks almost like a pansy fee. Then there's Hallowe'en chick with its black and orange feathers. The last one looks downright boring in comparison, but if you look closely has some pretty patterns in the feathers.

Major surprise this afternoon! Couldn't get a pic of them in the open but here's a pic of some chicks that hatched out...I think they hatched on Saturday. I didn't even know that there was a nest. 6 hatched out. You can make out the male and two chicks in these pics. The male is actually guarding them...he attacked me while I was taking pics.
May have to enlarge to see the chicks and male Bobwhite.

Yes, coturnix. My buttons are 2 weeks old today.
I haven't gotten any black ones, but there is a chance that there might be in this batch. I'm trying a different source because I just couldn't resist the colours. I'm adding a bunch from my own birds too.

mine is still up and running....but i’m a bit worried that eggs may be delayed a day or so because I forgot the “holiday” today

Yes. They would have been delivered today except for the holiday. @Enthusiast was great about making sure they got to me on time.

that’s wonderful! i’m considering ordering a batch for 2021 aviary variety. I’m finalizing my plans for new brooder and grow-out in the winter room before I make any decisions on next hatch. It looks like “indian summer” ends tonight
