this is one of my new favorites (quail in the corner) DS named her “S’mores” 🤣🤣🤣 I’m thinking she must be a homegrown.....I say she’s a true “calico” 🤣🤣🤣

Welcome @Verna Y :welcome so happy you were able to join us!!! I know this format can be a bit intimidating to newbies sometimes, but we truly have a blast here!!!
Oh I understand. It isn't that I feel intimidated, Just not fond of bulletin boards. Even back when I was a guide on aohell, I hated boards. But I will enjoy this one.

I have 60 in incubator right now, 12 from a hatch two weeks ago, and about 20+ in cages right now. Not counting what is in the freezer. LOL. I do love quail. Here is a pic of my quail easter eggs.View attachment 2377723

I freaked out for one second thinking you colored the eggs to put in the bator.

Do you ever BBQ the quailies?
I think I am going to butcher a few to BBQ this evening.

yes, in the slow cooker, or in the oven. Just remember, they do cook faster than any other meat.

My favorite way, is take a few processed quail and place in the slow cooker, use enough box of organic condensed mushroom soup to cover the quail. Cook on low for at least 4 hours. Presto, a great dish to go with either rice or noodles, and some fresh veggies.
