y’all. I put the chick feeder on top of that idiot. He’s fine, he was sitting right under the indent in the middle.

Yep, about once a hatch I end up placing a feeder on top of a chick foot or wing (smaller feeder). They love running under at the last minute.

I'm going to guess some didn't get turned well.
I don't like those kind of turners so I'm not sure how they work.

I've butchered a lot of quail now. I've only ever butchered 1 hen. The only reason I did the one was because she hatched with a crooked neck and I let her get big enough to eat.

Yes, that happens with rolling turners more frequently. My advice is to remove the tray and stop turning a day or 2 sooner. I stopped on 13 this time and it went really well. Also the sticks are not needed, you can do one or even 2 eggs per slot. The sticks look like they are too close, the eggs should have a few mm’s of space on either side, if they slip a little diagonally they can easily get stuck if it’s too close.
