I just helped 3 males.
They were 4 weeks old.

Next week I will help 3 more.
The following week I will help 4 more.

I've butchered a lot of quail now. I've only ever butchered 1 hen. The only reason I did the one was because she hatched with a crooked neck and I let her get big enough to eat.
I'll off a hen for you next week. I hate those 2 ugly colored ones. I just don't like them.

Yes, that happens with rolling turners more frequently. My advice is to remove the tray and stop turning a day or 2 sooner. I stopped on 13 this time and it went really well. Also the sticks are not needed, you can do one or even 2 eggs per slot. The sticks look like they are too close, the eggs should have a few mm’s of space on either side, if they slip a little diagonally they can easily get stuck if it’s too close.
